I am highly experienced managing people and projects, including research and professional projects in both academic and small-/medium-sized companies, with student (undergraduate and postgraduates) and professional teams.

I have been doing research in software engineering since 2006. Due to my research, teaching and projects with industry, I gained considerable knowledge on the following topics:

• Service-Oriented Computing

I do my best to keep up with modern technologies and tools. My current knowledge includes, but it is not limited to:

Research Interests

My latest research projects investigate benefits of cloud-native information systems on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of agricultural processes. In partnership with Rural Development Institute of Paraná (IDR, previous EMATER), EMBRAPA Soya, and National Service for Rural Learning (SENAR/PR), I have been focusing on two main topics:

1) Automating the integrated pest & disease management collection and analysis processes. Our main project in this topic has been receiving lot of attention from media recently [1, 2, 3, 4].

2) Improving the communication of products & other information related to soya.

Other research interests include investigating the impact of GoF design patterns on software maintainability, and self-directed learning.

Teaching

I have been supporting undergraduate students to develop their skills in software engineering since 2008.

Currently, I am teaching three modules in two certification programs, as follows:

• Java Web Development
• DevOps
• Cloud Computing
